When Budapest's creative spaces open their doors at the same time! BUM Workshop Festival

The Budapest Chamber of Commerce and Industry created (in 2013) the Shopping Street Management, which is launching an exciting new initiative based on knowledge sharing, aimed at showcasing the businesses in Budapest's thematic streets that not only sell their products but also offer valuable, practical knowledge.

Among the workshops of the three-day BUM Workshop Festival, in addition to craft and gastronomy sessions, there are even self-awareness and development workshops, taking place on Bartók Béla Boulevard, in the Margaret Quarter, on Art & Antique Street, and in Ráday Soho. For example, at the Lucky Shepherd Designer Store, known for its quality and design products, we can create zero waste earrings using leftover leather pieces from their bag production. At MyChoccy - The Chocolate Bar located in Ráday Soho, we can melt silky chocolate, learn the art of tempering on marble, and create unique stuffed chocolate Easter eggs ourselves. At ArtMasters, we can explore fluid art, create plates, and try our hand at painting with small plants. Manyi offers a drawing workshop for those interested, while in Patent Budapest we can embroider with Ágnes Antal. At Margaux Café, we can create a collage, and at MUMU, we can make jewelry.

The BUM Workshop Festival emphasizes handmade products and uniqueness, as the items created during the workshops come to life through the participants' own hands.

As an example of variety, at one of the workshops on Bartók Béla Boulevard (Equal Studio), you can learn and practice leadership skills that you can then apply in your everyday life.

Moreover, uniqueness is also true in everyday life for the partners of the Shopping Street Management, which offers services in Budapest's thematic streets and districts. These all provide colorful, unrepeatable experiences for visitors, whether it's about handcrafted products or gastronomy. "Moreover, they often offer wallet-friendly solutions. For example, galleries often have well-maintained antique items with interesting stories that cost no more than items in a furniture store," said Gabriella Király, manager of the Shopping Street Management.

"We consider it important to help people step out of their daily grind, which the businesses in the shopping and thematic streets offer a perfect opportunity for. This time - as a practically accessible opportunity for anyone - we are focusing on workshops, where beyond experiences, new skills can also be acquired, and we can indulge our creative desires," stated Gabriella Király. She added that it is important to note that before and after the three-day festival, numerous high-quality, relaxing, and constructive activities are organized by the businesses operating in 18 partner districts. Therefore, it is worth keeping an eye on our website www.bevasarloutca.hu throughout the year, as we periodically announce exciting workshop opportunities here.
