The year started off lively in February with our walks, during the World Guides Day.
Finally, we managed to hold two walks, so we visited the Margit Quarter and Bartók Béla Boulevard. Many joined us; we thank you for your interest in our walks, and many already come as regulars to our events. We are grateful to the entrepreneurs for hosting the groups and to the tour guides for always impressing us with their knowledge. We are also thankful to the Budapest Chamber of Commerce and Industry for making the organization of these programs possible with their support.
Below is a little pictorial report on the two walks so that those who could not join us can see where we wandered.
On Friday, we visited the Margit Quarter from the Mechwart Grove all the way to Török Street. We had the exceptional opportunity to see the Bunker thanks to the generosity of the II. District Municipality. Additionally, during the walk, we visited Muci, an exciting pastry shop on Margit Boulevard. We even tasted some of their delicacies. We concluded the walk at the Dante Community Square, where we also received a wonderful internal tour.
On Saturday, we walked along Bartók Béla Boulevard from Gellért Square all the way to Gárdonyi Square. We visited the Pagony bookstore, where a festival was taking place, and we heard about the unique programs they have planned for both children and adults, beyond the interesting books. Then, while strolling along Bartók Béla Street, we peeked into a few galleries from the outside, and we concluded our walk at Hadik Café and Szatyor Bar, where we enjoyed the famous Karinthy slice, accompanied by lemonade.
