The BUM team has expanded with a new colleague – introducing Réka Együd.
Starting from September 1, Réka Együd joins the BUM team as a shopping street project manager. Although she officially joined us in September, she became acquainted with our organization's activities, current programs, and professional partners during the summer.
Réka has over a decade of project management experience in urban development, community participation, and community-based initiatives. The world of thematic streets is not unfamiliar to her: as a member of Studio Metropolitana, she previously actively participated in managing the Thematic Streets program. In addition, she coordinated public space development programs, socially participative projects, and European Union collaborations.
At the Budapest Transportation Center, as a city development project manager, she worked on the establishment of new BKK Customer Centers, the renovation of Budapest underpasses, the preparation of design tenders, and the utilization concept for areas along the Danube. In her most recent job, as the head of the Community Participation Office of the Hegyvidék Municipality, she facilitated cooperation between the local population, civil organizations, and the municipality. She was also involved in the implementation of community programs, district forums, participatory budgeting processes, and site-specific public space development projects.
At BUM, she mainly contributes to the preparation, organization, and implementation of our events. Another key area of her work is engaging with entrepreneurs, establishing contact with them, and maintaining ongoing collaborations. Her professional experience and personal network provide value in strengthening existing partnerships and involving new entrepreneurs and professional stakeholders.
Réka has already shown in our first joint tasks that she quickly grasps situations, works independently and proactively, while easily finding common ground with various stakeholders. Her agility, competence, and commitment to the urban environment align well with BUM's philosophy and diverse tasks.
We are glad to have you with us, Réka – welcome to the BUM team!
