Pozsonyi Street – Pozsonyi Picnic Association
In Pozsonyi Street many shops and small restaurants wait for the visitors. At the axle of the street there are few green parks that wait for the walkers who wants to relax a little. Pozsonyi Picnic was established in 2009 by the cooperation of the shops and local residents of Pozsonyi Street as a civil initiation. At the first Picnic there were around 5.000 guests, in 2012 it was more than 20.000. So the event grew from year to year and in 2013 it started at Jászai Mari Square and ended at Szent István Park. Besides the stages and street production there are many shop keepers, artists, art institutions as exhibitors of the event. Since 2015 the Festival has had a new place at Újpest rakpart.
Using the facility of Újlipótváros and its famous residents, the event shows the place past and present and also the traditions and style of its local people. The programs are high standard and unique and for today it has an international fame. In last year there were many visitors from abroad.
Our Mission
We are a great community, a little town in the town. We welcome everybody in this friendly atmosphere with our little craftsman shops, cafes, restaurants and many many green areas. Come and feel yourself at home.
