PANDEIRADA is a group lesson of Pandeiro (Brazilian frame drum) led by Matheus Borges, every Monday, 19h30, at Szpot. This instrument is in the heart of Brazilian music, specially in genres such as Choro, Samba and Forró.
On the 27th, right after the class, you'll get the chance to experience a "Roda de Choro", with Budapest Choro.
"Roda de Choro" (Choro Circle) is a Brazilian musical gathering where musicians play Choro music, a traditional Brazilian genre. Musicians form a circle and take turns leading, improvising, and harmonising with instruments like guitar, violin, flute, and pandeiro. These gatherings are open to all, fostering a sense of community and passing on Choro and Brazilian music's cultural heritage. It's a social, informal, and important tradition for Choro enthusiasts to learn, share, and enjoy the music.
