The Budapest Business Development Public Foundation (BVK), the Budapest University of Economics and Business (BGE) and the Budapest Chamber of Commerce and Industry's Shopping Street Management (BUM Nonprofit Ltd.) decided to organise a training course to support small businesses. We wanted to familiarise our partners with the preferential microcredit opportunities offered by the BVK, supplemented with basic knowledge that will enable entrepreneurs to implement their own development and expansion plans more effectively. A BGE speaker helped us to do this.
The event was fully booked, which confirmed that we had chosen the right topic. In the morning, Attila Dudás, chartered economist and BGE lecturer, introduced the audience to the mysteries of finance, including financial planning, cash-flow, company valuation and raising funds.
There were many questions from those present, some who wanted to get new information on expanding an existing business, and others who were just starting out. Everyone seemed to have found what they were looking for.
In the afternoon, Mária Nagy, BVK's Head of Customer Relations, presented their lending portfolio and mentoring programme. Their products are much more valuable for a small business than a simple bank loan, as they provide assistance throughout the entire lending process and follow up afterwards, offering professional advice and strong support beyond financial assistance.
So we have achieved our goal of providing useful knowledge at this information day that will enable the participating entrepreneurs to determine the value of their own company, position themselves in the market and gain new information on how to raise funds. Thank you to the speakers and participants for a successful day together!
Thanks to the Budapest Chamber of Commerce and Industry for their support in making it possible for participants to attend this training free of charge.
