This year it will be held in Budapest on 11 May in the Margaret Quarter.The Photography Challenge is now a year-long series of three events where amateur and experienced photographers can compete. Our unique events are designed to bring together photography enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels, and to make participation an experience for all.
The Pannon Photography Circle Association organised the one-day Photography Competition for the first time in spring 2010, based on similar events abroad and in Hungary. The PFE has made the Photography Festival a tradition in Veszprém, adding it to the city's already diverse and lively cultural programme. We hope that our Photo Challenge Weekend in Veszprém, starting in 2021, will also become a tradition.
Building on the successes of the past and responding to the needs of participants, we have launched our Photo Challenge Ticket Winning Tour in 2022, which will provide a year-long experience in the Veszprém and Lake Balaton area.

During the interactive day, only one theme title and information and the time limit are available to the contestants at a time, making the competition really dynamic and exciting. You can submit a single photo for a given theme either through our online system or at the pre-defined checkpoints.
The photos submitted will be judged by a professional jury. The prize-giving will take place at the opening of a temporary exhibition of the entries. The winner of the Photo Contest will take home the trophy for the highest overall score for the eight themes.
After the short official opening, everyone will receive the first title to expose. Depending on the topic, the competitor will have a certain amount of time to do this. Once the picture is ready, it must be submitted at one of the stations or via the online interface. Once the picture has been submitted, the second title is given to him/her, for which he/she is also given a time limit, and so on. During the contest, photographers will travel around the city between different stations and take their pictures. The event lasts eight hours.
